The giver, the person that heals, the person that has a powerful presence but is often forgotten when not around.
We don’t always take the time to think about where the water is coming from, rather that it is just always flowing. Deep below the surface the water from the ground we walk on is filtered down being cleansed and purified as it makes its journey to the aquifer. It is now fortified with minerals that will hydrate us and bring nourishment to our bodies.
A person that is a wellspring nourishes our minds and our souls, they filter through the chaos and bring wisdom and insight. You smile when they walk in the room, they spark new ideas, positive change, a sense of calm. People are drawn to them and often tell them things they would not normally share, they provide a comforting space by just being present. They have an aura of openness and even people they do not know gravitate toward them for comfort or release of what is holding them down at that moment. They are the hydrating drink that keeps them moving, the cleansing bath that gives them release so they focus on what needs to be absorbed.
Just as we do not think about the spring water deep underground that pours from the well until we need it, we often do not think of the person that is a wellspring until there is a need. The giver, the person that heals, the person that has a powerful presence but is often forgotten when not around. The person that has deep a understanding for peoples emotions and can feel things others can’t that allows them to know more than what is on the surface.
The water trickles its way back down, being filtered and ready for the next glass of water that needs to be filled. Most often it is the rain, but sometimes it is the wellspring’s own tears or sweat of recycled emotions. The source of fluidity for the wellspring is within their self and is often recharged by creative outlets, solitude, connections with nature, and the people who understand them on a deeper level. You have moved on, and while you think of them from time to time, you may no longer need them, and that is okay. Your paths may cross again and you remember the spark and note to yourself, “I need to contact them more often” but it is a fleeting thought and you continue on your way.
I am a Wellspring, ready to listen, ready to be the shoulder to lean on, the hand that holds you and pulls you through, the smile that makes it easier and the hug that makes it tolerable. I will be there when you need me and will fade into the background when my job is done. My journey will be a continual ebb and flow of energy and emotions that propels me forward to be a better human not only for you but for myself.
